For generations, South African farm families have lived and worked on citrus farms throughout the Northern and Western Cape regions. Through the Harvest of Hope program, these farm families can achieve land co-ownership and build a sustainable future for generations to come.
Currently, 10 Harvest of Hope projects flourish throughout the region and benefit from the export of Summer Citrus to the United States. Projects include worker shareholding in citrus pack houses as well as in farms producing citrus, Rooibos (red bush) tea, wine, table grapes, and deciduous fruits.
Harvest of Hope projects support initiatives such as:
